Did you know.......

What a Nurse Practitioner can do?   Diagnose illness, injuries and disease, prescribe medication, order and interpret diagnostic tests (x-ray, ultrasound, bloodwork), perform annual physicals, complete most medical forms, administer immunizations, provide treatment, order procedures, refer clients to other health care professionals and specialists, manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD and asthma.

N.P.'s have a Master's degree in primary care and family medicine.  An N.P. provides primary health care to patients of all ages, the same way a family physician does.  An N.P. is licensed by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
